WGRZ News: Costs rise for Somerset fight on wind turbines: A #NewYork state siting committee, with appointees from Governor Cuomo will make a decision on this project but Supervisor Engert noted, "We're ready to defend our town wherever it takes us." https://ift.tt/2N82ieg https://ift.tt/2N82ieg Town officials in Somerset, Niagara County say they will continue their effort to push back against a proposed wind turbine project because a survey shows most residents oppose it. But costs since the project was first proposed in 2015 have risen beyond $260,000 due to legal fees, documentation, and...https://ift.tt/2zdPuzM

@NYGovCuomo publishes plan to develop 1.5GW of storage capacity by 2025, including recommending of $350 MILLION MORE taxpayer & ratepayer-funded incentives - while our roads & 100+ yr old water infrastructure rot. #NewYork sets out storage plan https://ift.tt/2yzr4k6 https://ift.tt/2yzr4k6 Read New York sets out storage plan and other wind energy news & analysis on Windpower Monthlyhttp://https://ift.tt/2zdPuzM

More propaganda coming from Alliance For Clean Energy New York (who sadly, are nothing but shills for the wind industry) in today's The Buffalo News. Pathetic! https://ift.tt/2I2b8qb https://ift.tt/2I2b8qb Mark Twichell’s June 7 commentary (“Wind turbines threaten property values in Chautauqua”) fails to mention the overwhelmingly positiv...https://ift.tt/2zdPuzM

How 'NexTerror' Became the Global King of 'Green' Power - by RIPPING OFF all taxpayers and ratepayers for a massive CONSUMER FRAUD! Robert Bryce: Environmentalists foolishly go to war against #nuclear power: https://nyp.st/2HGfoeR https://nyp.st/2HGfoeR America’s biggest environmental groups seldom, if ever, talk about the climate-change benefits of nuclear energy. Why not? There’s no money in it. That’s the finding of a recent paper by Matthew C.…https://ift.tt/2zdPuzM

President Donald J. Trump Administration looks offshore for wind energy boom: https://washex.am/2kROpUA “When the President said energy dominance, it was made without reference to a type of energy... I am very bullish,” said Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke VERY SAD! Thought Ryan Zinke was way smarter than to push the UNRELIABLE wind mess - Taxpayers and ratepayers be damned. Must be Zinke's getting his pockets lined by Big Wind, too. Very sad indeed. https://washex.am/2kROpUA The Trump administration is “bullish” about offshore wind, working with governors in the Northeast to transform what was once a fringe and costly investment into America’s newest energy-producing industry.https://ift.tt/2zdPuzM

From the Files... New York State officials admitted they knew that the noise and 'infrasound' from industrial wind turbines was a problem worldwide at the NYSERDA Environmental Stakeholders meeting specific to wind in 2009. At that meeting, former Noise Control Engineer for the New York State Public Service Commission, Dr. Dan Driscoll, testified that “infrasound” (sounds below 20 Hz) are the sounds you can’t hear, but that the body can feel. He said "infrasound" is NOT blocked by walls of residences, and it can very negatively effect the human body - especially after prolonged, continuous exposure. He said symptoms include headache, nausea, sleeplessness, dizziness, ringing in the ears, etc. Dr. Driscoll suggested that setbacks should be at least 3200 feet from the 1.5 MW turbines being installed at the time to reduce the impacts on nearby residents - which indicates setbacks from the much larger turbines being proposed today should be even greater. At the same NYSERDA meeting, New York State Dept of Health official, Dr. Jan Storm, reported that they knew infrasound associated with industrial wind turbines is a problem worldwide, but that they hadn't done any studies on it in New York State yet (even though they were/are continuing to plaster the state with them), and that there was money available via the Stimulus to do so. Here it is 9 years later, and New York State still has NOT done any studies. It is infuriating that Governor Cuomo thought it was important to do a 6-year health study re: natural gas 'fracking,' and says he 'wouldn't want his family living next to a fracking site,' but he doesn't think enough of his Western, Central & Upstate NY constituents to call for independent health studies, or cost/benefit analyses before allowing the industrialization of rural NY with sprawling industrial wind factories - obviously because Big Wind LLCs are in line with Cuomo's delusional 'green' ideology, and are BIG donors to Cuomo's campaign war chest.
